Why did they press “LIKE” to your brand Facebook page!
A popular question that comes up probably in a lot of social media discussions:
“Why Do People Like Facebook Pages?”
A lot of people wonder sometimes why anyone might want to like their page! There a lot of reasons behind people actually liking your page, let’s go through 3 of the main ones:
- Brand loyalty
A lot of people who are loyal to your brand tend to feel more connected when they like your page. They simply become fans because they are interested and like your brand and products. Those hardcore loyals are not really bothered whether your Facebook Page is any good, they simply want to show support for something they love.
- Engage with Brand
According to survey done by Lab42 on 1000 social media users, 82% of people surveyed said that Facebook is a good place to interact with brands. It’s obvious now that Facebook has created a powerful platform for B2C companies to engage with their audience! Whether it is a customer’s services issue, a purchase feedback or product review, majority of people nowadays take it to Facebook as a mean to express their thoughts and engage with the brand.
- Seek Offers/Deals/Vouchers/Free prize
Now we jump into the key motivator that can catch any customer’s attention…”VALUE”!!! Consumers look for value on money spent everywhere, so no wonder they would love your page if they would be the first to know about a free voucher giveaway or a free prize competition. According to LAB42, 34% of people like a page seeking for promotions/discounts and 21% are motivated by the free giveaway.
So got the “LIKES” now what?
I will be discussing that more in coming articles, but it is crucial for your business to consider the power of a good fan base on your Facebook page and the importance of integrating this social media channel with your brand strategy. Having said that though, it is also very important to be careful not to violate the boundaries and bombard the fan base with irrelevant posts that doesn’t provide any value or nurture relationship. End of the day, the key for a successful and profitable presence on Facebook, is to find the right balance and build a great engagement strategy.
